We have an opportunity for an experienced Software Project Manager to join a leading technology company working within the Insurance Industry and owning approx. 40% of the market share and employing over 450 people across multiple sites. It's an incredibly exciting time to join the business as they are currently undergoing a significant company-wide transformation which includes recent acquisitions strengthening their position in the market. Working in a team of 12 you are required to plan, execute and finalise projects according to strict deadlines along with being expected to take end to end control to ensure the project(s), technical and non-technical delivery is in accordance with agreed KPIs including time, cost and quality. You will not be adverse to change within the project as due to historical processes things change at all stages of the project. You will work towards re-writing the internal processes which need to be tightened after a company acquisition.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a Software Project Manager
  • Educated to Degree Level
  • Project Management Prince 2 Foundation or Practitioner Level Qualification or APMP (or similar)
  • ITIL V3 Foundation Level Qualification or Higher

Duties will include:

  • Direct and manage project implementation from start to finish
  • Defining project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Develop full-scale project plans
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones
  • Develop & deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations

Skills:

  • Agile Software Development Methodologies
  • Calm and level-headed, works well under pressure
  • Consistent Information Gathering and Documenting
  • Experience of Continuous Improvement or Process Improvement Practices and the ability to challenge current thinking / working models (Desirable)
  • Any previous experience in the General Insurance or Financial Services is highly desirable
