Job description
Our client is looking for a QA engineer to join their experienced software testing team to ensure the quality of their product through testing (manual and automated) of new and existing features. You will be a forward-thinking individual with a key eye for detail and this role will give you the opportunity to learn and expand on existing skills.
Responsibilities:
- To test software systems to ensure the quality of products
- To design, document and implement test cases
- To manage and monitor systems used for testing
- To deploy systems to be used for testing
Skills required:
- Windows operating system
- Proficiency with testing procedures
- Manual software testing
- Fault analysis and raising bug records
- Writing test cases
- Automated testing tools
- Scripting (Python/Perl/JavaScript/bash shell/batch files)
- Installing and configuring Windows operating systems
Beneficial skills:
- Virtualisation technologies
- Linux operating system
- Test plans
- Familiar with the concepts of object orientated software. Able to read and understand C++ source code
