Job description
Software Tester required to join a leading software development house from their head office based in Bournemouth.
The role of a Software Tester will involve working alongside the test manager, throughout the full testing lifecycle, in regard to testing their bespoke web based software, ensuing that it meets the standards required before going live. The role will require an ability to understand the behaviour of complex IT systems composed on many integrated components. You should have an appreciation of how to approach the testing of new features based on BDD requirements. You will work closely with the development team ensuring that quality is built into the development process from requirements through to development and delivery.
You will work closely with our clients and project managers.
The skills required for the role include:
- Cucumber / Gherkin
- SOAP UI (Desirable)
- Knowledge of REST APIs
- Ability to identify the impact of a change and develop a corresponding testing strategy
- Experience in an Agile environment
It would be highly desirable if you also hold the ISEB Foundation in Software Testing
As you will be working within a team environment and dealing with external customers then your communications, both written and verbal, must be very strong.
