Systems Administrator
A successful and progressive, solutions provider based in Eastleigh, are looking for a Systems Administrator or 3rd Line Infrastructure Analyst to join their team.
This is a critical role to the day to day operations and success of the business, ensuring the infrastructure is running in a reliable and secure state.
The successful Systems Administrator will have the following skills, experience and attributes;
- Strong commercial experience of running and maintaining a reliable and secure infrastructure.
- Strong technical exposure to Windows Server 2008-2016
- Good knowledge of Active Directory.
- Solid MS Exchange skills.
- Strong commercial experience with virtualisation and infrastructure - VSphere, VMware.
- Knowledge of SQL 2008-2017 administration - desirable.
- Switch configuration and Networking experience.
- Network security experience.
- Proactive approach to problem solving and confident in proposing solutions.
- Confident in being central point of infrastructure support.
The responsibilities of the Systems Administrator will include:
- Companywide Infrastructure support and specialist knowledge.
- Significant contribution to Infrastructure improvement projects.
- Planning and implementing backup strategy, to include running daily backup and verification of data content.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of Disaster Recovery strategy and undertake readiness exercises.
- Continuous systems administration and support for all hardware and software used across the business.
- To provide input into the IT purchasing decisions.
- Working to existing IT procedures and to aid with implementation of new procedures.
