Systems Support Analyst- Southampton

A market leading and ambitious technology company are looking for a Systems Support Analyst to join their team.

The company is currently at the beginning of a significant change programme, moving to a new platform and embracing new technologies.

This position will suit a Systems Support Engineer / Support Analyst with a strong background in operations and who has a progressive approach to day to day system maintenance and improvements to the business.

The successful Systems Support Engineer will have the following skills and experience;

Experience of working with Oracle, SQL, or Apache Tomcat

Knowledge of SQL or Oracle Database administration.

Experience of Java / IBM MQ Messaging services

Experience of Software Systems or Application Support.

Experience of Unix/Linux Administration.

Experience of working in a process driven environment.

Significant exposure to or understanding of day to day systems operations.

Able to take the lead on the continuous improvements to the systems and operations.

Good understanding of change management and the wider impacts on a business.

Experience of working in a cloud environment.

Technical knowledge of installation, configuration and security.

 

The responsibilities of the Systems Support Analyst will include:

Support and maintenance of the systems to ensure availability.

To act as a technical point of contact for internal and external customers.

Implementing system changes.

A collaborative approach to define system requirements.

Provision on excellent customer service.

 

This role is also suitable for a junior Systems Support analyst with a proactive attitude and who keen to learn.

The role is based in Southampton and paying up to £38,000 per annum depending on experience plus benefits.
