Technical Solutions Lead / Technical Consultant
Azure, Cloud, C#, MS SQL
UK Travel, must be eligible for SC Security Clearance
We are seeking a Technical Solutions Lead to work as part of a product consultant and post-sales support team on behalf of an award winning technology company in Southampton.
Our client develop complex and dynamic solutions in area of international public safety systems. This is a rare opportunity to work with an innovative product launching in an area new to cloud services. The primary focus is to provide 'hands-on' technical support to the sales team and the end client during post-sales solutions discovery and delivery.
In terms of technical ability you will need to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical so you need to know your stuff but you don't have to be an out and out coder (although a background in coding would be beneficial - it's a .Net Cloud product). You will be involved with the requirements gathering, planning, project management, installation and support.
You should have the following experience:-
Pre-Sales
- Preparation of technical response to RFI, RFP
- Participation in customer meetings and demonstrations
- Management of Proof of Concept Solution Delivery , working with the Product Teams
Post-Sales
- Working with the customer technical teams to develop finalised detailed design
- Manage the conversion of the Proof of Concept into a live system
- Setup initial customer training for Go-Live
- Managing the smooth handover to the operations teams
- Contribute to the projects 'lesson learned' reviews
- Help the product teams to create and deliver technical sales training
- Preparation of Quote and Order Processing - RFQ
Knowledge & Experience
- Analysis of customer requirements into product requirements
- Writing Technical Proposals
- Designing complex systems
- Project management (installation)
- Working successfully with clients and business partners directly
- System engineering and/or IT support for 6 years or more
Knowledge of some of the following
- The principles of information systems security
- Use of SQL database systems
- Web, cloud applications
- Network design
- Installation and maintenance of Microsoft-based operating systems and Azure
- Telecommunications systems in public safety
- Telecommunications in public transportation
