Technical Support Team Lead / 3rd Line

Predominantly responsible for 3rd line support and product / service installations for multiple sites across London along with the management of the 1st and 2nd line support team. The role will be varied and no two days the same. You will be working for a niche company who design and develop security software for a range of secure sites across the UK. This role is 50% Customer Facing / 50% Technical Hands on Support.

Core Skills:-

  • Troubleshooting on Servers and Networks
  • Active Directory (troubleshooting not just administration)
  • MS Exchange
  • MS Client and Server OS
  • MD Desktop
  • Networking, structure cabling and routing
  • Backup and Recovery
  • Security Protection and Patching
  • SQL Database / DBMA
  • Software and Hardware Firewalls

Desirable Experience:-

  • MCTS or MCITP, MCSE qualifications
  • Familiar with the remote monitoring tool LabTech
  • Familiar with the Technology recording software ConnectWise
  • Knowledge of VMWare & Hyper-V

Responsibilities will include:-

  • Responsible for mentoring and helping junior staff
  • Onsite maintenance days for customers across London (potentially once a week)
  • Installation of Desktops, Laptops, WAPs and software rollouts
  • Adhering to their 1 hour onsite SLA for issues that cannot be resolved remotely
  • Provide desktop / server support
  • Configure, test and support a range of hardware including:- servers, desktops, laptops, printers, mobile phone and tablets
  • Managing the internal backup system
  • Documenting faults and resolutions accurately
