Test Engineer/ Software QA Engineer - Hampshire
Systems Testing, Linux, Python, DevOps, TDD
Salary based on experience from £35,000 - £45,000 + excellent benefits

A great opportunity for a Test Engineer to join an international business who have been mostly unaffected by the recent pandemic and offer scope for progression in a time of growth. The Test Engineer will work alongside the Software Engineering team in improving internal QA processes and performing automation and manual software testing.

The business is highly collaborative with engineering teams based near Basingstoke in Hampshire and overseas. The Test Engineer will test and support a number of key software projects through the full project lifecycle and would help support DevOps processes.

The key skills are based around Software testing in a Linux OS environment using C# or Python, so experience in a similar environment is essential. The company offer fully remote working under the current restrictions, with flexible 'core hours' options once back to normal.

Required Skills and Experience:

At least 3 years commercial experience of Software testing, with experience in the following key areas:

  • Commercial Automation testing experience using Selenium or similar
  • Commercial experience of writing test scripts in C#, Python, C++ or Java
  • Systems testing
  • Experience in a Linux environment
  • Experience of working in Agile or DevOps environments
  • The ability to communicate effectively with software developers
  • ISEB, ISTQB certification or similar
  • Degree level education is preferred

The company's offices are commutable from Southampton, Basingstoke, Fareham and Reading areas and the company can onboard remotely under the current Covid-19 restrictions.
