Test Lead

£40,000 - £45,000
50% / 50% focus on team leading and people management vs suggestions for process improvements, new approaches to testing, supporting system implementation
Testing Lead required to join a leading and progressive organisation from their office based in Eastleigh.
The role of Test Lead will involve working throughout the full testing lifecycle, predominantly using Selenium, within an Agile environment. You will be responsible for testing software, that will be used both internally and externally using a Test Automation Framework using Selenium WebDriver. You will be expected to work across multiple projects and multiple work-streams within large change programmes. Although you will be using automated testing tools for the majority of the time there will be some manual testing.
The ideal candidate for the Test Lead role will be working within a similar at the moment and have some commercial experience within automated testing.
You will preferable hold a relevant IT qualification within testing and have some experience within the following areas:

Line manage Test resources setting clear objectives and carrying out regular reviews and performance reviews | Provide subject matter expertise and best practice for both manual and test automation |
Develop Test team members by identifying training areas and career aspirations to maintain a skilled resource pool | Testing of software written in C# |
Work with the team to introduce new tools / techniques in test automation for improving test coverage, reducing testing time and improving defect identification | Assist with the design and implementation of automation framework for new and existing applications |
Work with development teams to identify a testing solution, provide a strategy, estimates, ROI and implementation plans | Continue the maintenance of current scripts (both manual and automated) impacted by assigned projects |
Provide test support to the Scrum Teams for the execution of tests | Write, maintain and execute performance tests and scripts using relevant load test tools |
Previous staff management experience of diverse team of skill sets, including direct responsibility for recruitment, retention and release | Run manual tests when required |
| Documenting requirements and translating into test solutions |
| ISTQB / ISEB or equivalent |
| ITIL would be an advantage |
| Testing in an Agile environment |
| Knowledge of XML and SQL Server (Advantage) |
