UX Lead / Senior UX Designer - Exclusive to Spectrum IT Recruitment
We are looking for a UX Lead with UI/UX design expertise and the experience and aptitude to lead and build a UX function on behalf of a global financial data consultancy. The company is a bouyant and fast growing professional services consultancy specialising in cloud based technology.
The role sits within the digital management team and is accountable for end user experience and visual presentation of all features/products delivered by the software/digital teams. Hands-on design skills are essential, with front-end development capabilities desired. The role requires regular ad-hoc travel to London which is fully expensed.
Key Responsibilities
- Ultimately accountable for the user experience of features/products delivered by the Engineering team
- Devise and implement quality assurance and governance processes as required
- Drive the UX of the product portfolio such that it is a genuine selling point and compares favourably within the market
- Feed directly into product roadmaps, advocating a UX-led approach to development
- Support client engagement with respect to producing user personas and helping the Technology Consultants to elicit requirements and produce a user-centric design
- Develop user personas, wireframes and full mock-ups as required in support of feature/product specification
- Provide simple, intuitive and elegant solutions to complex workflows and data visualisation
- Own the company digital style guide and library of re-usable front-end components
- Play an active role in collecting user feedback on the UX and general usability of our products
Skills and Experience Required
- Extensive UX design experience for software/web applications
- Strong visual communication; drawing skills (sketchbook through to wireframes and full mock-ups)
- Exceptional design skills, production value and attention to detail
- Ability to create wireframes as well as visual design comps
- Strong working knowledge of mock-up tools and other graphic design packages (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Fireworks)
- HTML skills desirable
- Ability to design for mobile/tablet
- Experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
