UX/ UI Designer
Our client based in Havant, Portsmouth is currently looking to expand their software/ technical team and take on board a new UX/UI Designer with experience in HTML, CSS and Bootstrap.
The client themselves are rapidly expanding and focus mainly on the photo/gift retail market. The team is currently around 80 people in size and is full of talented, enthusiastic and determined staff members. Their site in Havant includes not only their offices but also features breakout areas, games rooms, free on-site parking, a garden, fitness suites, musical instruments and nerf guns all only a 15 minute walk from the sea!
They are looking for a candidate to come on board to help develop the user experience and interface design for the software products that they have out with globally known brands to constantly deliver the best possible user experience for their customers.
Part of the responsibilities of the role will include researching, evaluating and translating user requirements working with other internal teams as well as clients to deliver outstanding application design.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Provide elegant user friendly solutions to design problems.
- Translating concepts into wireframes, mockups and prototypes that create an intuitive user experience
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Content, Product and Development teams on web design for clients ranging from local to multi-national
- Deliver thoroughly researched and well designed UX wireframes to illustrate our clients vision.
They are looking for a candidate with experience in:
- Developing responsive websites.
- Strong HTML,CSS & Bootstrap knowledge
- Able to develop a design concept from start to finish with a strong idea base, to meet the requirements of a brief within a required timeline.
- Practical understanding of UX and UI principles, responsive website and email design.
- Able to work creatively within brand guidelines.
- A degree or equivalent design qualification.
- Two or more years proven UX/UI experience.
- Experience in interpreting client briefs and delivering in a timely manner, whilst maintaining high professional standards.
- Fluency in the Adobe Creative suite: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Knowledge of Sketch, Invision, Figma or equivalent UX prototyping tool.
- Javascript, Linux command line, scripting or Git versioning not essential but a bonus.
