Spectrum IT began working with World Programming in 2011, when they were a small, independent software company of just 15 people. Over the next decade, we supported their continued development and team expansion, building a strong and trusted partnership that proved valuable as the business evolved. At the end of 2021, World Programming was acquired by Altair, becoming part of a much larger global organisation with more than 100 employees in the UK - and we continued to support them seamlessly through this transition.

Throughout this period, our involvement extended far beyond sourcing candidates. We advised on salary and benefits benchmarking, and market profiling, as well as improvements to hiring processes and efficiency. We managed both permanent recruitment and contract hiring requirements, providing support with contractor compliance, and online timesheet management when needed.

Our work has helped build out high-performing and diverse technology teams, filling a broad range of specialist roles including Software Engineers (across C++, Java, C#, Python and R), DevOps Engineers, Web Developers, Data Engineers, QA Engineers, Product Managers, Technical Support and Systems Administrators - as well as key hires such as Data Scientists, Pre-Sales Consultants and graduate-level talent to support long-term growth.

Following the acquisition, our partnership naturally expanded across additional divisions within Altair, enabling us to support wider teams across the UK and contribute to the continued development of their technical capability.
