Overview
Spectrum IT began working with the team in 2011, when the business operated as Cobalt Telephone Technologies, best known as the company behind the RingGo parking app. With rapid adoption of the app across the UK, pressure grew to scale the technology teams quickly to support rising demand.
Early in our partnership, we identified an opportunity to enhance and accelerate the hiring process, as strong candidates were occasionally being secured by faster-moving competitors. By working closely with hiring managers, we helped refine and streamline each stage, leading to a significant reduction in time-to-hire and improved candidate conversion rates.
As the business continued to expand and was later acquired by BMW Group & Daimler Mobility under the PARK NOW joint venture, recruitment challenges intensified. The team struggled to hire externally and faced internal disparity with salaries below market rate. We provided detailed market insight and salary benchmarking, enabling them to adjust internal packages and secure external talent on a fair and competitive basis. This was instrumental in successfully scaling their engineering and product capabilities during a critical growth phase.
Many of today’s Software Engineering management team were placed by us, with several progressing through the organisation long term - a strong testament to the quality and cultural fit of the hires. Alongside permanent hiring, we have also provided significant contractor support for both BAU requirements and priority project delivery.
The business was acquired again in 2021 by EasyPark Group, who now have a strong internal talent acquisition team. Due to our long-standing partnership and proven results, we continue to support them on complex or urgent hires where additional specialist expertise or access to our talent network is required.
