Head of Technical Delivery

Want a senior technology leadership role where you can shape product direction, influence architecture and lead delivery across engineering, data and digital platforms?

This is an opportunity to join a growing B2B digital business in a broad, high-impact role reporting to the CEO. You will lead technical delivery across product, platform and data, helping the business deliver new services, improve internal efficiency and make better decisions around architecture, tooling and technical investment.

Head of Technical Delivery
Bath / Hybrid (typically two days a month in the office)
£85,000-£100,000 + up to 10% discretionary bonus

This role will suit someone who enjoys operating at senior level, but still likes staying close enough to delivery to guide outcomes, remove blockers and keep momentum.

What you'll be doing

• Lead delivery across engineering, data and technical operations
• Shape technical direction and architectural decisions across products and platforms
• Turn roadmap priorities into practical, costed delivery plans
• Improve delivery predictability, release quality and operational performance
• Oversee systems, integrations, cloud infrastructure and data flow
• Support the development of new products and services, including AI-related initiatives
• Drive automation of manual internal processes
• Manage external technology partners and specialist consultancies
• Lead and develop a small internal team

What they're looking for

• Senior experience leading technical delivery, engineering or platform teams
• Strong architectural judgement and technical decision-making ability
• Experience working with data in a meaningful way
• Strong stakeholder skills and the ability to translate technical issues into business language
• A practical, commercially aware approach
• Comfort working in a smaller business where breadth and adaptability matter

• AI experience is helpful, but not a requirement.

Team
You will lead a small internal team, currently including:

• Helpdesk Analyst
• Data Engineer
• Software Tester
• Full Stack Developer
• Lead Data & Reporting Analyst

You will also work closely with external partners across software development, IT support, cyber security, website improvement and AI advisory work.
