Celebrating Women in Tech Hampshire: SheCanCode Power Up Award Winners

We’re proud to announce that Women in Tech Hampshire (WiTH) has won the Best Diversity Network at the SheCanCode Power Up Awards 2025!

The Power Up Awards celebrate the people and communities driving change and creating a more inclusive tech industry. This award recognises the incredible impact of networks who are breaking barriers, building connections, and leading by example.

WiTH was founded in 2024 by our very own Amy Lee and Lauren James, inspired by their shared passion for empowering women in technology and creating a safe space where everyone can feel supported and inspired to achieve their potential.

Their mission has always been to:

  • Host events and workshops that provide learning, networking, and mentoring opportunities.
  • Build a strong, supportive community where women in tech (and allies) can connect, share experiences, and grow together.

'I’m beyond proud of all the WiTH community has accomplished and truly honoured to receive the Best Diversity Network award.' Amy Lee, Women in Tech Hampshire Co-Founder

In just over a year, it has become a thriving network of professionals and advocates who are passionate about diversity in tech. Winning this award is not only a reflection of the hard work and dedication of the organisers, but of the entire community and inspiring speakers who have contributed their energy, expertise, and encouragement.

Already, the group has already had a real impact on people’s journeys by:

  • Connecting individuals with mentors, peers, and employers who can support their growth.
  • Inspiring confidence in those pursuing or considering a career in tech, showing them they are not alone.

'I am so thankful to be receiving this award. We created the group to help give back to the community, and it’s amazing to see all our hard work recognised.' Lauren James, Women in Tech Hampshire Co-Founder

At Spectrum IT Recruitment, we are a proud partner of Women in Tech Hampshire, supporting their vision and helping to drive positive change in the tech industry.

Congratulations to Amy, Lauren, and the entire WiTH community for leading by example and showing what’s possible when we champion diversity and inclusion.

A big thank you to everyone who voted - we can’t wait to celebrate this milestone at the awards ceremony on 17th September.
