Application Support Engineer - 3rd line
Hampshire; Southampton, Winchester area
£28,000 - £33,000 based on experience
An established IT / SaaS business requires an experienced 2nd/3rd line Application Support Engineer to join their growing Development team. The role will work across a broad environment, liaising with internal teams and external customers offering Support for the companies Applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Support and Development Manager you will provide Application support to a number of external customers and internal IT when required
- Perform software installations and upgrades on customers systems
- Provide remote support
- Communicate with customers and 3rd party suppliers
- Ensure that all customer issues are logged clearly and in detail on the internal support system.
- Ensure that customers are kept fully updated on any issues
Essential Experience:
- Experience supporting a broad range of apps / products is highly desirable
- 3rd line Support Desk / Windows Application Support experience
- Excellent task prioritisation and personnel time management
- Strong understanding of MSSQL Server is desirable
- Infrastructure and Networking experience
- Excellent communication skills via phone and email
