Senior Software Engineer / Technical Architect
£55,000 - £70,000

Senior Software Engineer / Technical Architect required by an established, leading FinTech company located in Basingstoke, Hampshire. My client are looking to add an enthusiastic Senior Software Engineer / Technical Architect to their existing team developing innovative software solutions for varied systems.
The successful Software Architect will work as part of highly skilled team in a complex, stimulating environment working on varied projects.
The successful Software Architect will be someone who has hands on coding experience, who could design, prototype and lead the way in new technologies and technical processes. You will be used to designing systems or re-designing large areas of enterprise software and understand the principles of software architecture whilst being close to the ground and the development team and coding as necessary.
Skills required:
- Design Patterns
- Documentation of Designs
- N-Tier Enterprise Application Architecture (Presentation, Service, Business, Data)
- Project Lead - guiding small dev teams
- Technical Skills - C#, MVC, Web Services, Azure DevOps (formerly TFS)
- Agile
Desirable Skills
- Designing a system from the ground up
- Migrating a legacy application or bringing a system in-house
- Software in the Cloud
- Designing for and working with 3rd party development teams
- Infrastructure / Networking experience
- Data and machine learning
Responsibilities:
- Lead design enhancements of current and new systems
- Define technical goals for Software Development Teams to achieve
- Hands on high end coding and pair programming when required
- Benchmarking in technology trends for both programming and tooling
- Key role within customer design workshops
