Backend Developer - Tech for Good - Deaf Communities

Job description

Backend Developer - Tech for Good - Deaf Communities

NodeJS, Azure, DevOps

Hampshire based office - hybrid working or remote.

£50,000 - £70,000

We all hear about companies that do 'tech for good' projects - but the absolute foundation of this business and their products / services help so many people who are often forgotten about within hard of hearing / deaf communities. Due to winning some large new projects, my client is looking to hire a Backend Developer to join the small team, working across NodeJS and Azure.

In this role, the successful Backend Developer can make a real impact - on a global scale to a community who are often forgotten about and overlooked. You can help break down the barriers and make their day to day lives that much easier through the use of tech.

The Person:

You will genuinely have an interest in wanting to work for a 'tech for good' company. This isn't a customer facing role; however, being a small tight-knit team who love to bounce ideas off each other and are genuinely passionate about the work they do - personality is essential!

Due to the nature of work and size of the team, you will need to be able to hit the ground running with regards to NodeJS / Azure.

The Tech:

  • NodeJS
  • Azure Cloud technologies
  • JavaScript
  • REST APIs
  • Unit Testing
  • PostgreSQL/MySQL databases
  • CI/CD experience
  • ideally using GitHub with Azure/AWS
