IT Security Engineer

IT Security Engineer required by a telecommunication solutions provider, who have their head offices based in Basingstoke. The IT Security Engineer will join an existing IT security team, reporting into the CISO and working alongside an external SOC.

The IT Security Engineer will help to support the company on all internal network security issues and will be expected to have a broad range of knowledge around network troubleshooting, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs etc.

The successful IT Security Engineer will require a full UK driving licence as there may be occasional travel to other company offices / data centres.

Essential experience:

- IDS/IPS, Firewall, VPN, EDR/XDR

- Security Information Event Management (SIEM) tools

- TCP/IP

- Network Troubleshooting

- Penetration testing

- ITIL
