Application Support Team Lead - ITIL, MS SQL, Windows, IIS, .Net

We are seeking an engaged and technically astute Application Support Team Lead to work with for an award winning financial services company based in Petersfield, Hampshire.

The Application Support Lead is a hands-on supervisory role reporting to the Application and Software Development Manager.

Technology and change is a vital part of the company and provides the platform for company growth and progression. With a mixture of in house and 3rd party applications the support team is tasked with control, support and configuration of these business critical systems to ensure the organization has the appropriate access and support to tools to run the business effectively. The team is also responsible for DevOps for the in house and externally produced software

The primary responsibilities for this role are as follows (Summarized):

  • Ensure high availability of production applications
  • Champion and control a culture of best practice support, process and associated tools & technology
  • Mentor/Coach a talented team in all aspects of software support/configuration
  • Manage inbound ticket workload and ensure all business systems are operational
  • Work with all members of the development and release teams to ensure well documented, tested and stable releases of systems.
  • Provide application level network and server support alongside DBA and Infrastructure teams
  • Work with 3rd party system vendors to ensure internal users are supported and trained
  • Working with departmental leadership to champion and control processes ensuring that they are adhered to by the wider business and team itself

Summary of experience:

  • Essential
    • At least 5 years' experience in software support or related experience
    • Proven team leadership skills working within an ITIL environment
    • Logical/Problem solving mindset
    • MS SQL, Windows Server & IIS
  • Desirable
    • Experience in support software in a regulated industry
    • Service Management experience including ITIL
    • DevOps including CI/CD
    • C# / MVC / .NET
    • Unit testing
    • Experienced in utilizing source control preferably GIT
    • CRM Support / Configuration
