Head Of IT - Leatherhead - up to £70,000

Job description

Head Of IT is required to join a leading organisation from their head office based in central Leatherhead.

The role of Head Of IT will involve having overall responsibility for leading the Information & IT strategy development and its implementation, together with its IT operations and change programmes. You will ensure the strategy is scalable and robust yet cost effective and tailored to support the company and their business objectives. You will be managing a team of 4 and will be developing and managing the strategic information plan, with supporting policies and programs to ensure the effective delivery, business and finance data processing, computer services, network communications and IM services. You will ensure the IT capabilities are responsive to the needs of the companies objectives as it grows.

The ideal candidate will be working within a similar role at the moment and if possible hold a recognised IT qualification.

You will have:

  • Experience of designing and implementing a strategy
  • Experience of managing the entire project life cycle and delivering technology solutions for critical business activities
  • Broad ranging skills and background within the IT & information disciplines
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Ability to plan, manage and monitor the departmental programme of work, including ability to act on own initiative, meet deadlines and report on progress and achieve goals.
  • Knowledge of contracts and strong negotiating skills
  • Change Management - Knowledge and understanding of principles, tools and techniques used for managing change and ability to implement change within the team
  • Personally effective with the ability to build effective working relationships with staff and suppliers
  • Ability to communicate, present to and interact with a broad range of management, peer group,
  • stakeholders and trustees
