Head of IT

One of the best leisure companies on the South Coast are looking for a knowledgeable Head of IT to join their team. This role is seen as pivotal within the business and you will be required to manage the department and assets to ensure the business can achieve its goals. You will form part of the Executive Management Team and be their support and guidance for all things related to IT and Technology. The company are privately owned and have been in existence since the late 1970's. Their portfolio includes 10,000 marina berths, 500 successful commercial tenants and other ancillary services and they operate worldwide.

Your main focus will be to develop strategy, create ideas and direction to move the business forward. This is not a traditional IT Manager role as though you will need a background and a good understanding of infrastructure, the role will involve managing the relationships with 3rd parties as most of the IT / Infrastructure work is outsourced.

Another key part of this role is to manage the current IT team comprising of a Helpdesk / Network Engineer, Software / Database Engineer and a Hardware Engineer - this will consist of carrying out regular 1-2-1's reviews and identifying training needs. Past or current experience of management in this capacity is essential.
