PMO Lead / Programme Manager - Digital Project delivery
Hampshire: Winchester, Southampton area

An experienced PMO Manager / Programme Manger is required to join a growing business based in Hampshire. The role would take full responsibility of managing the Digital PMO team and would best suit and experienced candidate who can add value immediately.

The PMO / Programme Manager will manage multiple Professional Services projects throughout the full project cycle in a matrix management style. A background in IT/Digital product delivery would be preferred.

Key responsibilities;

  • The core responsibility of the PMO / Programme Manager is to manage the day to day activities of the PMO Team including team ensuring that all agreed PMO standards are adhered to.
  • Provide overall team management of the PMO Team, including Project Managers, Business Analysts and relevant technical IT staff.
  • Review current processes and procedures to ensure continual improvement of the PMO function and suggest ways to improve.
  • Oversee and manage high value projects; defining project scope and deliverable, provide appropriate status reporting, communicate project expectations to senior staff, build and develop business relationships and ensure effective documentation.

Essential experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in a Programme, PMO or Project Manager role.
  • Can demonstrate successful delivery of full lifecycle Professional Services project
  • Experience of managing a multi-disciplined teams, both inhouse and off-shore teams
  • Excellent communication skills with Strong Stakeholder management skills
  • Experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a changeable, fast paced environment
  • Comfortable presenting ideas and solutions internally and externally to senior members of staff
  • Prince2 certified

The role is a 6-month Fixed Term contract initially, with scope to take on a higher level of responsibility (at group level) past this period on a permanent basis.

The salary is up to £60,000 (pro rata) + benefits.
