SQL Sever DBA - Database Administrator

.Gov benefits including large pension, 38 days annual leave, remote working, flexi-time

1 to 2 days a week in offices in Southampton, Hampshire

Scope & Responsibilities:

The role of Database Administrator is to deliver database solutions and act as subject matter expert in collaboration with the IT Solutions team. You will plan and support developments by means of documentation, training, testing and support. Key to the role is to propose new and innovative solutions to organisational challenges and make recommendations for continual improvement of systems, services and processes.

As this is a senior level role you will need to take a lead in making decisions and building relationships internally as well as mentoring junior members of the team.

Skills Required:

  • 6+ years experience working with MS SQL Server
  • Knowledge of TSQL
  • Experienced with SSIS, SSRS
  • Azure & Cloud services knowledge would be beneficial
  • TFS, Team Foundation Server

Please note this role is initially a 12 month fixed term contract.
