Software Test Team Lead

Software Test Team Lead required to join a global brand who are have been humble in their approach to their business since its establishment over 200 years ago even though 85% of the population in the UK are touched by what they do every day. They are an exemplar of a post Brexit business with 75% of their business being outside of the EU. Their longest standing customer has worked with them for an uninterrupted 186 years which shows the true nature of their business and relationship building. They are currently going through an exciting change process across the business which had led to this role becoming available. They employ over 3200 employees globally and are active in over 140- countries.
As Software Test Team Lead you will be responsible for managing a team of 4 Test Analysts including setting objectives and actively coaching and mentoring staff, as well as responsible for the production and delivery of all testing related products including Test Strategy, Plans and Test Reports plus reviewing business requirements, user stories and specifications / acceptance criteria to define test conditions. You will minimize the risk of poor software quality through solid risk management and mitigation. My client develop simple but highly effective web applications and uses modern technologies consisting of mainly angular front-ends using a combination of Typescript and JavaScript with a back-end C# Web API Restful Services. They adopt BDD and TDD and Test Automation as integral to what they do.
You will be working on large multi-party projects in close relation to multiple software development teams working from multiple locations. The role is deemed to be approx. 75% team leading / 25% hands on testing and the technology stack is as follows:-
- System, Integration, OAT, Solid Non-Functional, Functional and Regression Testing
- Manual and Automated Testing
- Demonstrable experience in Test Management
- Test Management Software such as TFS / MS Test Manager
- Integration Testing using SOAPUI / POSTMAN - large scale integration testing between multiple parties (cross organisation, customer and suppliers)
- Test Automation experience using Cucumber, Ruby, Robot, Web Driver, Selenium, Ranorex
- Test Automation experience of Rest and SOAP based APIs and Web Services using single and multi-threading
- Load and Performance Testing - Load Runner, Performance Centre and JMeter
- Agile / SCRUM
- BDD and TDD
- Experience of virtualisation technology
