Trainee IT Engineer / IT Technician - Linux OS, PHP, MySQL, Apple Mac
£18,000 - £22,000 + training & benefits
Southsea, Portsmouth, Hampshire
We are seeking an enthusiastic IT Technician with a degree or A-Level exposure to IT Systems, Linux, Apple Mac's and a good general understanding and enthusiasm for networks and IT support.
This is a trainee level role but requires a high level of intelligence and prior experience of IT systems. You will likely have a Linux Server setup at home and an invested interest in learning and developing your experience in IT systems and software.
The Role:
- Expanding our current customer support team, helping investors with day-to-day user experience issues via our online support portal
- Escalating issues such as technical problems, complaints, financial matters to other departments
- Helping to expand and maintain our investor FAQs and other user support materials
- Maintaining internal technical documentation
- Testing of new software features on a variety of in-house software systems
- General office IT assistance: desktop computing (Macs), peripherals, software licensing
- Liaising with external IT service providers and suppliers
- Assisting with implementation and review of IT security measures
Entry Level Criteria:
- Good general IT systems experience - hardware, software, networks
- Linux Operating Systems.
- Apple Mac's
- A-Level or Degree level academics in an IT discipline
- A desire to learn software/applications development / support. backed up with training, certification and academics.
