Director of Software Engineering

We're looking for an experienced Director of Software Engineering to help scale a growing engineering organisation within an innovative and ambitious company.

You'll lead multiple distributed engineering teams through strong managers and technical leads, ensuring the delivery of scalable, high-quality software that supports product innovation and business growth. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on organisational impact, helping shape engineering practices, delivery effectiveness, and the longer-term technology roadmap.

What you'll do

* Lead and develop multiple engineering teams and managers

* Translate product and business strategy into effective engineering delivery

* Drive engineering best practices across architecture, quality, testing and DevOps

* Champion Agile ways of working across distributed teams

* Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture and senior stakeholders

* Help shape the organisation's long-term technical direction

What we're looking for

* Senior engineering leadership experience (Director / Head of Engineering or similar)

* Strong technical background (Python, C++, C#, or Java)

* Experience with AWS or GCP and microservices architectures

* Proven experience delivering scalable software systems

* Comfortable leading distributed teams in a remote environment
