Senior Software Developer

We’re working with a global, AI-driven SaaS technology business that builds industry-specific cloud platforms used by some of the world’s leading professional and financial services firms.

They’re expanding their Lisbon R&D centre and are looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer to join a high-performing, collaborative engineering team working on modern, cloud-native products at scale.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on AI-powered solutions, contribute to core platform features, and play a key role in the growth of a flagship European engineering hub.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and maintaining high-quality full-stack software solutions using .NET, Angular, SQL Server and PostgreSQL
• Working closely with product managers, designers and engineers to turn requirements into scalable technical designs
• Owning the full software development lifecycle — from planning and build through to deployment and monitoring
• Writing clean, maintainable code aligned with best practices and coding standards
• Troubleshooting complex issues and implementing long-term, robust solutions
• Driving performance optimisation and identifying architectural improvements
• Participating in and leading code reviews to ensure technical excellence
• Producing clear technical documentation to support collaboration and knowledge sharing

Key Experience

• Strong commercial experience with .NET / C# / ASP.NET (typically 5+ years)
• Solid experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
• Experience building cloud-based, high-performance applications
• Comfortable working in agile development environments
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working in English
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Front-end experience with Angular, React, HTML, CSS and JavaScript is a plus
