About this event
Hampshire AI returns, showcasing how data drives real-world impact.
Join us for AI & Data: Turning Insight into Impact, an evening focused on how organisations are turning complex data into actionable insight through AI and advanced analysis.
We’re delighted to welcome Damian Bemben, Senior Software Engineer at Ada Mode, who will share how AI is used to analyse complex data in regulated environments, including civil nuclear decommissioning. He will also explore applications in environmental technologies, highlighting how AI supports monitoring, optimisation and responsible decision-making at scale.
Also speaking is Dr Adam Bryant, CEO and Co-Founder of CanSense Ltd, who will share how they are using spectroscopy and AI to transform cancer diagnostics. By analysing molecular data from simple blood samples, CanSense is developing a fast, non-invasive approach to earlier bowel cancer detection. Adam will explore how this reduces reliance on costly procedures and enables more efficient, scalable healthcare pathways.
Together, they will explore how AI is used to analyse complex, high-dimensional datasets, turning subtle signals into meaningful insights. The session will highlight how robust data processing underpins reliable AI, including:
- Pattern recognition and model training
- Validation and real-world deployment
- Ensuring data quality and integrity
They will also show how these approaches extend beyond healthcare and regulated sectors, with applications across industries to unlock value, improve decision-making and drive innovation.
Discover how combining advanced data analysis with AI enables organisations to turn raw data into insight, and insight into impact.
About Damian
Damian Bemben is a Senior Software Engineer at Adamode, specialising in the deployment of AI and machine learning systems in regulated and high-stakes environments. He is currently working on machine learning applications within civil nuclear decommissioning, focusing on responsible and effective AI implementation.
An IBM Recognized Speaker and RSA Fellow, Damian is also the founder of make~ Southampton, a creative technology community that brings together art and engineering, and Co-Founder of Southern Creative Catalyst. He is a passionate advocate for responsible AI and regularly shares his expertise through public speaking and community initiatives.
About Adam
As the CEO of CanSense, Adam is dedicated to transforming lives through the early detection of cancer. With a recent and personal experience of his own cancer diagnosis, Adam is uniquely positioned to comprehend the needs of individuals beyond their roles as patients.
Before assuming the role of CanSense CEO, Adam spent over 20 years as a senior Managing Director in tier 1 investment banking institutions, where he established and led highly successful global teams. Transitioning from investment banking six years ago, Adam has immersed himself in the health tech industry, gaining the required understanding of the landscape, including the regulatory pathway - an essential aspect of the business.
There will be the chance for networking before and after the talks. Explore how AI is being used to analyse complex data, generate insight, and deliver impact across industries, from highly regulated environments to scalable real-world applications.
