Contract Business Analyst (Smart Metering/SMETS2)

Job description

Spectrum IT's Client are a large UK based energy provider who are currently undertaking extensive smart metering and customer technology update projects. These projects will ensure that they provide customers with the very best experience and most updated technology. This is a fully remote working role (contractors must be UK based) and has been deemed inside IR35.

As the Contract Business Analyst you will have extensive BA experience and a good understanding for the Energy/ Gas/Electricity industry, aswell as previous experience with smart metering projects (SMETS 1 & 2).

Project Objective:

  • Provide a full Smets2 offering to all customer types in line with industry timescales
  • Enrol existing Smets1 meters to a central DCC platform to allow all Smart Smets1 meters to continue to be operated in Smart
  • Provide the ability for the customer to switch supply to us within 24/48 hours

Responsibilities:

  • Providing Smart Metering industry and asset expertise where applicable
  • Inputting Smart Metering expertise in areas such as Design, Build, Test, Deploy, Pilot etc.
  • Inputting to Internal and External issues / risk, industry engagement, clarification
  • Assistance with Industry affairs - consultations, documentation review and interpretation etc
  • Assistance with external deliverable dependencies
  • Inputting or driving Business Processes development / workshops/ requirements gathering etc.
  • Inputting/Assistance with project and programme RAIDAD

Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrable skills in business process, systems and data analysis, modelling, and the production of high-quality written documentation.
  • Strong experience building relationships with stakeholders and managing their expectations
  • Expertise in facilitation, influencing, coaching and presentation
  • Smart Metering /SMET2 Project Experience
