Junior DevOps Engineer / Azure Engineer - Training & progression

Southampton + Hybrid remote working options

£35,000 - £50,000 + Benefits

My client is looking for a DevOps Engineer / Cloud Engineer to join a well-established SaaS company to help them manage Azure-based cloud services and promote DevOps practices. You'll be working with a well-established and highly motivated team with plenty of training and upskilling available from senior team members.

The business can consider IT Support Engineers / Infrastructure engineers with commercial Azure experience looking for an opportunity to transition into a Junior DevOps Engineer role.

You'll be working on a broad range of cloud-focused projects and work with the senior management team to develop new solutions. The team can offer the flexibility to regularly work from home 3-4 days a week.

Essential skills and technologies

  • 2-3 years' plus experience in a similar role; Cloud Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Support Engineer or similar
  • Commercial experience with Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Experience of working closely with the engineering teams to define and implement operation and automation tools
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines

Desirable skills and technologies

  • Experience Azure Pipelines or similar is highly desirable
  • Experience with Docker or similar
  • An understanding of Agile, SCRUM
  • Degree level education in an IT related topic

The company are happy to accommodate remote onboarding and will be able to offer a hybrid approach to remote working. Applicants must be able to get to their offices on a weekly basis and be UK based.
