Software Support Engineer - Network / Linux
Buckinghamshire; near Milton Keynes - Hybrid working
£25,000 - £30,000
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Software Support Engineer - Network / Linux to join an innovative software company delivering SaaS solutions across the UK. This role is due to organic company growth, across cutting edge VoIP / cloud telephony offerings.
Collaboration is key in this company. You're not Siloed off and merely a number; but part of a friendly informal bunch who are all deeply technical.
What will you be doing?
- Setup and optimization of customers on-prem and hosted solution.
- Troubleshoot network, firewall, router and ISP connections to optimize their VoIP quality of service.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd-level support to customers
- Manage customer expectations and experience to deliver high customer satisfaction
- Create, maintain and improve processes and procedures for diagnosing and resolving voice quality issues and other software issues
Requirements:
- Experience in a customer focused role such as post-sales technical support / IT support
- Familiarity with service desk software
- Basic knowledge of Linux
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing and switching.
- Awareness of basic PC/server components and how they work together
