1st Line Support Engineer - Guildford - £18k - £23k

1st Line Support engineer is required to join a leading and growing IT outsourcing company from their office based in the Guildford area.

The role of a 1st Line Support Engineer will involve being the first point of contact for all technical queries coming into the office. You will log all incoming calls but will be responsible for helping to give IT support across desktop systems, networking and some server issues concerning AD & Exchange. You will also be responsible for computer builds / rebuilds and will be expected to go on client site with consultants where required.

The correct candidate for the 1st Line Support Engineer will preferably have some commercial experience within IT support along with an industry recognised qualification such as a CompTIA or Microsoft MCP. You will have good level of knowledge within:

  • Microsoft desktop systems including Windows 7, 8 & 10
  • Application Support such as Office 2010 / 2013 / 2016 / 365
  • Some knowledge within basic networking
  • Some knowledge within Server 2008 / 2012, including Active Directory or Exchange

As you will be liaising within their customer base on a daily basis your communication skills must be very strong.
