2nd Line Support Infrastructure Engineer

Working in a fun team of Infrastructure Engineers you will act as escalation route for the first line teams. The main focus of the role will be to perform system administration, maintenance and resolution to any problems that occur. You will have a strong background in networks, telephony, virtulisation, storage and Windows / Linux Servers. This role will involve regular travel to other sites therefore you will need a Full Driving License.
Technical Experience:-
- Hyper-V / VMWare
- Security Principles (Network and Server)
- Enterprise Storage Solutions
- Supporting VoIP
- Clustering (MS, Linux, MySQL, SQL etc.)
- Network Design & Communication Protocols - LAN/WAN/VLAN environments (Cisco, Juniper, HP etc.)
- Supporting MS Office 365 deployments
- Load Balancing Technologies
- Highly Available Linux & Windows Servers
- Knowledge of Tomcat & IIS Website Configuration
- Scripting - Linux / PowerShell
Desirable Experience:-
- CCNA or CCNP
- VCP or VCAP
- MS, Linux & Security Certifications
- ITIL Foundation in IT Service Management
Key Responsibilities include:-
- Escalation point for 1st line teams
- Supporting a vast amount of technologies and bespoke applications
- Perform Software Releases and Configuration Changes
- Maintain and Support Network Connectivity including Switches and Patching
- Deployment of software
