Application Support Engineer

Application Support Engineer required by a leading technology company based in Oxford, Oxfordshire. Due to continued success and planned expansion the company are looking to hire an Application Support Engineer to provide software support alongside the existing team.
The successful Application Support Engineer will be working closely with the development team to improve the ability to monitor the system and spot problems to take pre-emptive action to maintain the service to customers.
Essential skills and experience:
- Comfortable working at the Unix command line
- Passionate about delivering robust software systems
- Excellent communication skills
This is an opportunity to work in a DevOps environment and cross train in the latest technology such as:
- Git
- Docker Containers
- Kubernetes
- AWS and other cloud systems
- TCP/IP, Wireshark, iptables
- PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
