DevOps Engineer - Contract - Virtualisation, Cloud, GIT - Basingstoke
Your Role:
As an experienced DevOps Engineer you will be a major contributor within the development function for a renowned organisation. The development function you will be part of provides mature Agile development services for a number of stakeholders, supporting a range of key software products across the business.
You as the DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the delivery, development, administration, monitoring and metrics in areas including:
- Supporting software development services including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment systems
- Enable agility through development, provision and support of platforms and solutions which support Research and Development within the business function
- Supporting the business with technical expertise enabling rapid delivery of prototype and early solutions
About You:
You will be an experienced DevOps Engineer, whose skills and experience includes;
- Previous experience of working on a cloud/hybrid platform (preferably Azure), with knowledge of; Cloud Security, Cloud Architecture and Cloud Networking being advantageous
- Knowledge of Virtualisation Technologies, including VMWare and Hyper-V
- Experience with configuration management tools
- Knowledge of Networking Protocols
- Previous experience of working within Agile environments, and a strong knowledge of Agile principles
- GIT experience would be highly beneficial
