IT Helpdesk Supervisor

Waterlooville - £25,000 - £28,000

IT Helpdesk Supervisor required by a small MSP supporting SME and small-scale businesses across the UK. The role will work closely with the support team manager to supervise the 1st and 2nd line engineers, offer support and advice and work to improve the helpdesk set up. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of 1st and 2nd line support, ideally with some experience on a helpdesk and will have prior experience managing a small team

This would be an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT support engineer looking to step up into a management position or a helpdesk manager/supervisor looking to take on more responsibility in a small and dynamic team. The company are well established and are looking to grow their team as part of an expansion plan. This role is a chance to join an established team as they look to grow. This role would involve managing and supporting 1st and 2nd line engineers and working with the existing team to improve the team's performance.

The position offers scope for progression into a support team lead or manager position, training opportunities, an excellent company culture and a starting salary up to £25,000 - £28,000 based on experience.

Essential Requirements

  • 2 years+ experience in an IT support role
  • Prior experience managing or leading a team
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Server etc
  • Understanding of at least one ticketing system
  • Strong documentation skills

Nice to have's

  • Prior experience in a 2nd line role
  • Experience improving and managing Support processes
  • ITIL Certified
