Job description
IT Support Manager is required to join a growing company from their head office based on the outskirts of Southampton.
The role of the IT Support Manager will be to manage the IT department on a day to day basis along with being the final technical escalation point for all IT issues. You will be working on internal IT projects along with potential IT projects / requirements for their growing client base. Although you will be managing the team and service desk environment, there are a number of highly technical hands on elements and you will be expected to go on clients sire where required (either for customer meetings or support call outs depending on illness / holiday cover).
The ideal candidate for the IT Support Manager Supervisor role will have at least five years commercial experience within IT and have some experience within a supervisory / lead role. You will also preferably have some industry recognised qualification.
From a technical perspective you will have experience of:
- Full IT infrastructure throughout the full lifecycle, within a Microsoft environment
- Server 2012 - 2016
- Exchange / Office 365
- Active directory
- SQL databases - querying, setup and some ongoing maintenance
- ITIL (desirable)
As the role will involve being client facing & managing a small team your communication skills must be excellent. Furthermore, you must have a valid UK driving license and be prepared to travel to clients site where needed.
