Senior Cloud Engineer / Cloud Architect - AWS

Circa £75,000 + Benefits + Flexi-time
We have an opportunity for an experienced Cloud / AWS Engineer to join an established technology company building solutions to save the planet! This is a Senior / Lead level role working within a talented development team to ensure that their flag-ship Cloud AWS products are for purpose and cost efficient.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the AWS function internally; including building, deploying, monitoring and maintaining their Cloud infrastructure solutions. The Senior Cloud Engineer would also contribute to the overall Cloud/development strategy to continuously improve the quality of the service being delivered.
As the Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be required to facilitate the smooth delivery of all projects delivered by the team. You will also work closely with the development manager on technology selection, methodology decisions and leading the team's Agile software development processes.
Essential skills
- Extensive commercial AWS experience
- Knowledge of AWS Infrastructure build, deployment and cost saving
- Linux or Windows system administration
- Containerisation, ideally Docker
- Automation of manual processes (Powershell, Python, Bash, ksh)
- A good understanding of Agile, SCRUM processes
Desirable:
- Cloud Architecture or Cloud/Infrastructure Security knowledge is desirable
- Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Ansible or similar is an advantage
