Software Implementation Consultant / Customer facing Support Engineer
SQL Server, MySQL, RDBMS, Sybase, Oracle, Excel, Progression and Training
Hampshire; based near Petersfield, Waterlooville, Farnham
Salary; £23,000 - £35,000 based on experience
This an excellent opportunity to join a small but successful IT company based in Hampshire. The role offers scope for progression and training and the company is currently going through an exciting time; having recently upgraded their software resulting in growth of the IT teams and additional need to support their customers on site.
The company will consider recent Graduates who are looking for a customer facing software role offering support and progression, or experienced Software / Systems Support Analyst who want to move into a Consultant role.
The role would appeal to candidates with strong data (SQL / Excel) backgrounds who enjoy working closely with external customers. The Software Implementation Consultant would cover the full implementation lifecycle from, reequipment gathering, Data migration, remote installations and configuration and training the users on how to best use their products.
Essential skills:
- Strong SQL, RDBMS skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent communicator, able to liaise with both technical and non-technical users
- The ability to travel by car to (UK) client sites when needed
Desirable:
- Will have worked across the full software implementation lifecycle
- Can demonstrate good requirement gathering skills
- Database Configuration
- Data Migration
- External client training experience
- Post implementation support
