Purpose of the job

As the IT Manager, it will be your responsibility to not only oversee the activities of the IT department, but to work closely with the Managing Director to introduce new technologies and more streamlined ways of working.

This role would suit an IT professional with 7+ years of experience looking to diversify and progress their career or an IT Manager looking for a new challenge. You will probably come from a current IT Manager position or a Senior IT support role and looking to move into an IT Manager position.

The Role:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities, including support, of the IT department.

  • Maintain existing IT practises and implement newer technologies and better ways of working

  • Bring new ideas, update systems, modernise the IT department.

  • Technical skills - Microsoft 365 environment, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Exchange Online, SharePoint online, Microsoft Flow

  • Experience developing Microsoft Cloud environments desirable

IT Support:

  • Provide a high-class IT function to the organisation, being the responsible and accountable point of contact for all IT related matters.

  • Be the main point of contact for all IT Support queries.

  • Keep abreast of and communicate IT developments and areas of improvement to management.

  • Support teams in project delivery by installing and maintaining a reliable suite of professional software.

  • Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks, hardware and software) in the organisation to ensure it performs to the best standard for users and remains in line with the business strategy

  • Maintain strong relationships with other third parties, being the key interface between external IT providers and the users.

  • Support all functions and locations of the business to work together through the use of IT.

IT Projects and Strategy

  • Assist management with setting objectives and strategies for IT for both short- and long-term gain

  • Manage budgeting and cost management for improvements to IT, to help the organisation minimise cost and maximise benefit.

  • Direct, support and organise IT-related projects
