IT Security Manager / Cyber Security Manager
Hampshire; near Southampton, Fareham, Portsmouth + flexible working / WFH options
£55,000 - £70,000 DOE
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to influence and manage a growing companies IT Security. Working in a fast growing, fast paced environment with the core objective of minimizing risk of IT/cyber-attacks. This is new position which has come about due to an increased focus on having a secure environment and will be the sole point of contact for the companies IT/Cyber security.
The successful IT Security Manager will need to be technically hands-on paired with a strong knowledge of compliance; roadmaps and the forethought to avoid security breaches. You will be reporting into the Head of compliance so the successful IT Security Manager will be comfortable taking on a high level of responsibility, be able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders, and possess the confidence to advise, recommend and implement relevant security measures across the business.
Various IT Security backgrounds will be considered, such as: IT Security Manager, Senior Cyber Analyst, IT Manager (with security experience) or similar
The Role:
- Continuous assessment of current IT security practices / IT systems and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and governance is met from a technical perspective
- Design and implement simulated security breaches and recovery scenarios
- Running security audits, penetration tests and risk assessments
- Identify and evaluate business and technology risks and suggest improvements Developing and refining threat hunting techniques
- Conducting proactive threat research
- Develop & mentor junior members of staff
- Drive general alignment with ISO27001 principles for the management of our most confidential data
Desirables:
- Relevant IT / Cyber Security Certifications
- Experience of IT, Network and Cloud security
Due to the nature of the role; they are looking for someone locally based who can go to the office at short notice where required for any issues. There is a wealth of flexible working / work from home options; however, you will ideally be based within an hours' commute.
